Mall of America

One of the top tourist destinations in Minnesota is the Mall of America (MOA). What can one say about a really, really, big shopping mall? If you can image a large, multi-story mall, then times it by four and add an amusement park in the center, you get MOA.

The Mall has over 400 stores, 25 rides and attractions in Nickelodeon Universe, a 10-screen movie theater, a wide selection of restaurants, an aquarium, and a miniature golf course. If you walk around just one level, it would be .57 miles. So if you enjoy shopping, this mall’s for you. And as a bonus, there is no sales tax on clothing in Minnesota!

Even though MOA is in Bloomington, near the MSP Airport, it is any easy and cheap light rail ride from downtown Minneapolis. If you don’t have time to get over there during the conference, consider getting to the airport early and hopping over to the mall on the light rail.
